Event Description:

Royse Contemporary is proud to present Exposure: Architecture & Landscape, a small group photography exhibition highlighting captivating imagery of both architecture and landscapes found around the country. The photography highlighted in this exhibition showcases the beauty of nature, the simplicity and elegance of great design, all while capturing their surroundings with a refreshing new perspective and artistry.

This is Royse Contemporary’s first photography exhibition, which features four talented and dynamic artists: Marilyn Szabo, Andrew Pielage, Peter Brian Klein and Johnny Kerr. Each artist has created striking and powerful imagery that showcases their unique style, distinct voice, keen eye for detail and mastery of their medium. “I have developed a strong relationship and deep respect for each artist and their work over the years and am ecstatic to showcase them in Scottsdale at Royse Contemporary,” states Curator Nicole Royse.

Exposure: Architecture & Landscape exhibition will open to the public Thursday, December 6, 2018 7:00-9:00pm. Please join us for the Artist Reception coinciding with the Golden Palette “Scottsdazzle” ArtWalk on Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 7-10pm. The evening will feature an opportunity to meet the artist’s and curator, along with light hors d’oeuvres and refreshments, plus live music performed by esteemed violinist Telian Dodge. Exposure: Architecture & Landscape will be on display at Royse Contemporary from December 6 through December 29, 2018.

Royse Contemporary Presents “Elements of Style: Part 2” offering brand new multi-media works from this vibrant group of talented artists! Many of the featured artists have created new works for August! Elements of Style: Color, Line & Texture exhibition offers an eclectic selection of work that includes collage, drawing, mixed media, painting, and photography.

These artists are connected through their striking imagery, originality, vibrant color palettes and engaging styles. This exhibition showcases the work of eight noteworthy artists based in both Arizona and Texas including Angel Cabrales, Charmagne Coe, ColorOrgy, David Allan Paul, Dan Pederson, James Anthony Peters, Daniel Shepherd, and Marilyn Szabo.

These selected artists based on their distinguished styles, accomplished work, and distinctive voice, each creating and embodying elements style. Their work is original, captivating while pushing boundaries and redefining their mediums in contemporary art today.

Elements of Style: Color, Line & Texture will be on view through Saturday, August 25, 2018. Curator and owner Nicole Royse has selected artists based on their distinguished styles, accomplished work, and distinctive voice, each creating and embodying elements style. The opening reception for Elements of Style: Color, Line & Texture hosted by Curator/Owner Nicole Royse will take place Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 6-9pm, coinciding with the special “Summer Spectacular” Scottsdale ArtWalk in Old Town Scottsdale. The evening will feature an opportunity to meet the featured artists, lively art discussion, as well as light hors d’oeuvres and refreshments. Patrons can also partake in the fun “Summer Spectacular” artwalk along Main Street, where visitors can enjoy Caribbean and island music, Hawaiian shaved ice with adult flavors, infused ice water, teas and lots of entertainment and festivities outside.

#ArtLitPhx: “Southwest Contemporary Today” Art Exhibition at Royse Contemporary

Royse ContemporaryNicole Royse’s debut show at Royse Contemporary opens Thursday, September 14. It is titled “Southwest Contemporary Today” and features art from Angel Cabrales, Charmagne Coe, Monica Aissa Martinez, Daniel Shepherd, Marilyn Szabo, and Fred Tieken. Royse notes that she “selected artists based on their distinctive voice, accomplished work, connection and history with the American Southwest, as well as their commitment and impact in the arts.”

The opening reception will be from 5pm to 10pm on September 14, but the exhibit will be on display until September 30. It is at the Royse Contemporary Gallery, which you can find at 7077 E. Main Street, Suite 6, Scottsdale, AZ 85251.

The opening will be a part of the Scottsdale ArtWalk in Old Town Scottsdale. Royse, the owner and curator, will give a brief talk about the artists and work featured in the exhibition; guests will also have the chance to meet the artists, enjoy live music, and munch on light hors d’oeuvres.
